From above you can find the MAC address of NIC (Network Interface Card) "CNet PRO200WL PCI Fast Ethernet" is        "00-08-A1-2A-DB-23". The MAC address is the same as the physical address. You can also find information about the I.P. address, DHCP server, etc.

I.P.Config is a DOS utility which can be used from MS-DOS, or an MS-DOS shell,  to display the network settings currently assigned by a network. This command can be utilized to verify a network connection, as well as verify your network settings. For more information  of I.P.CONFIG, you can visit:

http://www.nsquery.org/I.P.config.htm

http://www.computerhope.com/I.P.config.htm

2. How do I know if my MAC address has been changed?

If the Network Interface Card’s MAC address is changed by a-MAC, the "change back" button will enabled! Otherwise, it is gray & non-functioning. (This is the new function added after version 3.0.)

3. Does a-MAC show all the I.P. addresses for my PC?

No, if you would like to know all of the I.P. addresses, you can use I.P.CONFIG.  (please refer to Question 1)

4. Can you give me a trial version which can test a particular MAC address?

 (Example: 00-06-5B-15-A9-4A)

As a trial version, it needs to limit some function. The trial version can only change the MAC address to 0a0a0a0a****, users can use this trial version to test whether the changing MAC Address function is effective in his/her computer. In fact, if your MAC address can be changed to 0a0a0a0a****, your MAC address can certainly be changed to 00-06-5B-15-A9-4A.

There are some MAC address you can not use, such as "000000000000". This is not a valid MAC address. You MUST assign MAC addresses according to IANA Number Assignments database. Generally you will not encounter this.

For more information, you can visit http://www.iana.org/assignments/ethernet-numbers.htm. The latest MAC address Organization Unique Identifier (OUI) listing is available at http://standards.ieee.org/regauth/oui/oui.txt.

5. How do I know which MAC address I should change to?

First, why should you change the MAC address?

Maybe you just want to change your MAC address so that others can not recognize you from your MAC address. Often the I.P. address can not be used to identify a computer from network since I.P. address can be changed easily, the MAC address of NIC is a "invariable" ID of PC. With a-MAC, you can change MAC Address! For this purpose, you can simple change to a MAC Address similar to the old one which you can find by I.P.CONFIG, or a MAC address similar to other computer which you can scan by a-MAC.

6. Can a-MAC work with a modem or wireless cards?

Yes, we test in our computers and it works. You can test with the free trail version by yourself. If it can change the MAC address of your modem or wireless cards to 0a0a0a0a****, it can also change the MAC address to any valid address you want.

7. How can I scan a single, known MAC address for its I.P. address?

After scan MAC address within an I.P. range, you can export the results to a txt file. Open the text file, and then search the

"Known MAC address".

8. What is a temporary license?

After you purchase online, you will get a temporary register code. You can register with this code to get a temporary license. However, 10 days later the temporary license will expire.

Of course you can get permanent register code if you purchase. Simply email us your product ID and purchase information to order@paqtool.com. You will get the permanent register code.

9. Why use temporary license?

Temporary license can be sent to you immediately after your online purchase so as not to delay your using.

10. Why don’t you send me the permanent registration code instead of the license?

We need your product ID (Machine ID) to produce the permanent registration code.

Q: I installed the shareware version of amac 5.0. And noticed the appearance of an extra tab ‘Advanced’ under network config. After uninstalling amac the tab didn’t disappear but crashes the configuration dialog. After which the explorer.exe process is restarted.

A: The "advanced" tab is nothing to do with Amac. I mean: the amac can not cause it to appear or disappear. You trouble may occur because of other reasons such as virus or error computer disk visiting. In my opinion, reinstall the driver of network card may help.
